Manchester United will do all they can to bring back Cristiano Ronaldo, by the start of the new season.
Manager Jose Mourinho is determined to get his transfer business done
early this summer, as he seeks to assemble a squad that will contest
for the title next season.
The Red Devils signed Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan by July 6 last year.
Paul Pogba’s summer-long transfer saga was finalised just 34 days later.
The Manchester Evening News reports that any potential deal to sign
Ronaldo, must be completed by the start of the new season, as Mourinho
is reluctant to let business drag right up to the deadline.
Mourinho is believed to have handed United’s chief executive Ed
Woodward his list of targets back in March. Woodward has already
completed one deal, bringing in Victor Lindelof from Benfica, and are
close to signing Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid
