BUHARI:Pray for Buhari – Lalong begs Muslims

The Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong has urged Muslim faithful in the country to use the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr celebration to pray fervently for the recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari and for the peace and unity of Nigeria.
The governor in a statement issued in Jos on Saturday by his Director, Press and Public Affairs, Dr. Emmanuel Nanle, called on all citizens in the state to “live in harmony with one another and practice their religion in love, truth and in peace.”
While urging the Muslim faithful to reflect on the lessons learnt during the Ramadan period and on the significance of fasting as a religious obligation, Lalong pleaded with them to allow its true meaning reflect deeply in their lives and on the positive impact it would make in the lives of others. The governor stressed that, “without the virtues of love and tolerance, religion would make no meaning and peace and stability would be elusive in the society.”

Wizkid fights at lagos club

Barely hours after Star Boy Wizkid returned to Nigeria, he's back in the news.. The singer got into a fight with a fan at a night club in Lagos, hours after arriving Nigeria. According to witnesses who claimed to have been at the scene, trouble started when a fan walked over to take a photo with the singer and Wizkid, was not okay with it, leading to an altercation. From the video, Wizkid, is seen sitting on a chair with a female, and in the next scene, he is being pulled away from a cluster of people. It is unclear who started the alleged fight and if anyone was hurt. Wizkid is a lot of things to different people. Six countries have demanded FIFA strip Qatar of the 2022 World Cup. The nations, who have cut diplomatic ties with the Gulf state last month, also threatened a boycott. They are: Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Mauritania, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt. Their request was confirmed by FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, according to Reuters. “The countries warned FIFA of the risks threatening fan and player security in a country that is ‘the base and the castle of terrorism,'” Infantino is quoted as saying. Infantino said the the countries cited Article 85 of the FIFA Code, that allows changes to be made to World Cup hosts in case of emergency. The world football governing body said in June amid the diplomatic crisis, that it remains in “regular contact with Qatar.”
